Police Club Secures Jlal Hassan Transfer
Police Club has secured the signing of Iraqi national team goalkeeper Jlal Hassan from Al-Zawraa, set to represent the Green Lantern in the upcoming season of the Iraqi Premier League and AFC Champions League 2.
Sources close to the club confirmed that the deal has been finalized, with an official announcement expected in the coming hours.
Jlal Hassan is no stranger to Police fans. The international goalkeeper previously represented the club early in his career before moving on to several Iraqi teams such as Al-Zawraa, Naft Al-Wasat, Erbil, Al-Naft, and Karbala.
His return to the Green Lantern comes at a crucial time, with a new project under Tunisian coach Sami Al-Trabelsi and a clear desire from the management to build a competitive team capable of challenging for all titles.
Jlal Hassan has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the national team since 2015, when he made his debut in the AFC Asian Cup in Australia. Since then, he has become the number one choice for the Lions of Mesopotamia.
The Police management believes that signing a goalkeeper of Jlal Hassan's caliber and experience will provide significant stability to the defense. His presence will offer security to young players and new professionals, as well as the leadership from the back that the team needs in major matches.
This transfer is part of a series of strong signings made by Police this summer, which included Ali Mohsen, Mujtaba Saleh, and Murtada Hassan, signaling a clear goal for the Green Lantern to regain local dominance and advance on the continental stage.
