Former Zamalek Star Confident Egypt Will Beat Argentina
Walid Salah Abdel Latif, the former Zamalek star, expressed his belief in Egypt's ability to secure a win against Argentina in their upcoming Round of 16 clash at the World Cup scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.
In statements made on the "Number One" program on CBC, Abdel Latif praised Mohamed Hani, stating, "He deserves 10 out of 10 for his performance, both defensively and offensively. The criticism he faces is unacceptable; he is one of Egypt's best players."
He added, "All World Cup teams are strong, and even Brazil no longer has the same number of stars as in previous years."
Abdel Latif anticipates that Hossam Hassan will field the same lineup against Argentina as he did against Australia, with Mohannad Lashin returning after his suspension.
He explained, "In the Australia match, Hossam Abdel Majid's participation in midfield during the second half caused some issues, but Hossam Hassan quickly addressed it and moved him back to defense."
He further noted, "Mohannad Lashin and Imam Ashour will play crucial roles in the attack, as they have the ability to build play effectively. Imam Ashour is a standout player and has been performing excellently."
Concluding his remarks, Abdel Latif stated, "The Egyptian team exhibits great tactical discipline on the field, and I am confident in their ability to defeat Argentina in regular time."
