Mahmoud Trezeguet Leaves Al Ahly for Riyadh

Ahmed Shobair, former Al Ahly and Egypt star, revealed details about Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet's move from Al Ahly to Saudi club Riyadh FC. Shobair stated in a radio interview that Trezeguet is frustrated and angry over ongoing discussions about his salary with Al Ahly. He noted that Trezeguet feels he sacrificed a lot by leaving European football for Al Ahly, agreeing to a five-year deal for a significantly lower salary than he could have earned in Europe. Trezeguet reportedly questioned, "What's the problem with my salary being high at Al Ahly? Haven't I contributed to the club?" In his view, he was the best player at Al Ahly last season. The media pressure has led the player to welcome the offer from Riyadh FC, and when Al Ahly inquired about his situation, he expressed his willingness to take on the new challenge.
