Marquinhos Acknowledges Brazil's Crisis: We Must Start Over

Brazil captain Marquinhos has acknowledged that the Seleção is in a difficult period following their exit in the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup after losing to Norway, emphasizing that the team needs a comprehensive review and a fresh start.

These comments from the Paris Saint-Germain defender came after the match, as Brazil exited the tournament despite having numerous stars, raising questions about the future of the national team.

Marquinhos stated: "It’s hard to explain, it’s very difficult to talk about, we have to accept this failure and engage in self-criticism.
