Mariska Confirms Grealish's Future at Manchester City
Enzo Mariska, the new manager of Manchester City, has decided to give Jack Grealish an opportunity to prove himself during the pre-season preparations for the new season, after the player was close to leaving this summer, according to "TEAMtalk".
Grealish spent last season on loan at Everton, where he scored two goals and provided six assists in 18 Premier League matches, before his season was cut short due to a foot fracture.
The report clarified that Everton is still interested in bringing the player back on another loan, especially as he enters the final year of his contract with Manchester City. However, the departure of Pep Guardiola and the appointment of Mariska have changed the club's stance.
The same source indicated that Mariska wants to assess Grealish during the pre-season preparations, believing in the player's ability to regain his best form, having previously worked with him when he was Guardiola's assistant.
Manchester City is open to selling Grealish if a suitable offer comes in, but the final decision regarding his future will be postponed until the end of the transfer window, with Everton and other clubs still interested in signing him.
