Brazil Misses First World Cup Penalty in 40 Years
In a historic moment during Brazil's Round of 16 match against Norway at the 2026 World Cup, Bruno Guimarães missed a penalty in the 14th minute, thanks to a brilliant save by Norwegian goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland.
According to statistics, Brazil had not missed a penalty during regular time in the World Cup for 40 years, since Zico's miss against France in 1986.
As per Mr. Chip's statistics, the Brazilian national team has only missed 4 penalties in its World Cup history during regular play, excluding shootouts.
Brazil hopes to overcome this difficult start and continue its journey towards qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
