Aissa Mandi: I Feel the Disappointment Most, I Take Full Responsibility
Algerian international Aissa Mandi has expressed his deep sadness following Algeria's exit from the 2026 World Cup, stating that he feels a great disappointment after the end of the "Greens" journey in the tournament.
Mandi said in an emotional message: "After 12 years, we all hoped to experience another World Cup. I won't lie to you, I am the first to feel the disappointment, and the first to be frustrated, especially with the way our journey ended. Like everyone, I was eagerly awaiting this tournament."
The Algerian defender added: "There are no excuses. I take responsibility as I always have," referring to his accountability for the team's failure in the tournament.
Mandi also sent a message of thanks to the Algerian fans, saying: "Thank you to everyone who supports me and continues to back the team in such difficult times. I will never forget that," concluding his message by emphasizing that the time will come to discuss what lies ahead, hinting at potential important decisions regarding his international future.
