Young Moroccan international Ayoub Bouaddi has established himself as one of the standout stars of the 2026 World Cup, continuing his impressive performances for the Moroccan national team, which has solidified his status as one of the most sought-after talents in the European transfer market, with Lille firmly holding onto their prized asset.

After a remarkable season with Lille, the 18-year-old midfielder has secured a starting position in the "Atlas Lions" lineup, showcasing exceptional skills that reflect his technical and mental maturity, making him a target for several European giants.

Clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United have placed Bouaddi high on their priority lists, especially as his market value continues to rise with each standout performance in the tournament.

Despite this significant interest, Lille remains steadfast in their refusal to part with their young star unless an extraordinary offer is made. Club president Olivier Létang stated before the World Cup that a bid of €50 million would not be enough to convince the club to sell the player.

Létang said: "€50 million? No, that amount is insufficient. If an extraordinary offer does come in, and when I say extraordinary, I mean a very substantial sum. Talking about €50 million is far from the figure that would make us consider letting Ayoub go."

As Bouaddi continues to shine in the World Cup, Létang reiterated in an interview with "Eurosport" that the player has become a target for many clubs, noting that only a few have the financial capability to complete the deal.

He added: "There are a lot of clubs interested in him, but only a few have the financial means to sign him. He is indeed one of the best midfielders in the world, and he still has a huge margin for development. He is only 18 years old, with his entire future ahead of him, and he is currently focused on continuing to develop and winning all titles."

Létang declined to disclose a specific figure for the player's sale but hinted that the deal would not be less than the record numbers seen in the transfer market recently, citing midfield transfers that exceeded €100 million.

In closing, the Lille president emphasized that Bouaddi's talent, youth, and immense potential make him one of the most valuable players in his position, clearly indicating that those wishing to sign him this summer should be prepared to execute one of the biggest deals of the European transfer window.
