Ancelotti Updates on Raphinha's Availability for Norway Clash
Carlo Ancelotti, head coach of the Brazil national team, has provided the latest update on star player Raphinha's fitness ahead of their Round of 16 match against Norway in the 2026 World Cup, taking place today at the New York/New Jersey stadium.
Ancelotti stated: "Raphinha is progressing very well. He is not 100% ready, but he could be available on the bench and may play for a few minutes or make an impact at certain moments against Norway."
The coach added: "He has recovered very well and quickly, and we are happy about that, as he is a very important player for the team."
Raphinha suffered a hamstring injury during the match against Haiti in the second round of the group stage, which caused him to miss games against Scotland and Japan. He has undergone an intensive rehabilitation program over the past two weeks.
According to several media reports, the Brazilian medical staff aims to have the player ready for the quarter-finals if the Seleção advances tonight at the expense of Norway.
