Egypt National Team Heads to Atlanta for Argentina Clash

Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egypt national team, confirmed that the team will depart at 2 PM Dallas time, which is 10 PM Cairo time, to Atlanta, USA, in preparation for their Round of 16 match against Argentina in the 2026 World Cup. Egypt will face Argentina next Tuesday, July 7, in the knockout stage. Hassan added that the team will not train today, as the coaching staff prefers to give the players some rest after their match against Australia in the Round of 32. Egypt qualified for the Round of 16 after defeating Australia in a penalty shootout, winning 4-2, following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
