Atletico Madrid Joins Race for Ceballos
Atletico Madrid has entered the list of clubs interested in signing Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has become a free agent after terminating his contract with Real Madrid, intensifying the competition for his signature during the summer transfer window.
According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Atletico Madrid has inquired about Ceballos's situation, joining the list of clubs eager to sign the player after he received his release.
The same source added that Ceballos has been available in the transfer market since June 26, after reaching an agreement with Real Madrid to terminate his contract, which was set to run until June 30, 2027, granting him the freedom to negotiate with any club.
Interest in the player is not limited to Atletico Madrid, as the newspaper indicated that Ajax is also monitoring his situation, given the head coach's admiration for the Spanish midfielder's abilities. Meanwhile, Real Betis remains one of the top options for him, due to his connection with the club where his career began.
The report noted that Ceballos's final decision will depend on several factors, primarily the sporting project each club presents, along with the salary he will receive, after earning around five million euros annually under his last contract with Real Madrid.
The Spanish player has become one of the most anticipated names in the transfer market, with fans eager to see where he will land after his time at Real Madrid and the start of a new phase in his professional career.
