Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United forward, has revealed when he will finalize his future after his loan spell with Barcelona, stating that he prefers to delay any decision regarding his next destination until he can fully focus on representing England in the 2026 World Cup.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Rashford's time with Barcelona has concluded as the Catalan club did not activate the purchase option from Manchester United, leaving his future open to several possibilities during the summer transfer window.

Rashford said: "I was very clear with all parties involved; I wanted any steps regarding my future to be resolved before the World Cup, and if that didn't happen, I wanted to postpone it until after the tournament. I want to be fully mentally present during the World Cup."

The Spanish outlet added that the English striker is still under contract with Manchester United until 2028 and is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs looking to sign him for the next season.

The report noted that Barcelona had the right to permanently buy Rashford before June 15 for €30 million but decided not to activate this clause for several reasons, including the signing of his England teammate, Anthony Gordon, who plays in the same position, despite differing technical attributes.

Thus, Rashford will postpone his future decision until after his participation in the World Cup, in line with the plan he communicated to all relevant parties before making his final decision on which club he will represent next season.
