Australia Embassy Congratulates Egypt on World Cup Round of 16 Qualification

Australia's embassy in Cairo congratulated Egypt's national team for their victory over Australia in the Round of 32 match held last night.

Egypt secured a win against Australia on penalties, 4-2, after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time, allowing the Pharaohs to advance to the Round of 16.

The embassy posted on Facebook: "Congratulations, Pharaohs!" They added, "The Australian embassy was proud to host a special screening of the historic and thrilling match between Australia and Egypt. It was a closely contested game, but we congratulate the Egyptian team and wish them success in the next round!".

Egypt will face Argentina in the next round on Tuesday, July 7, at 7 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
