The name of Argentine player Alejandro Garnacho has resurfaced in Serie A, as AS Roma has reached out to Chelsea to inquire about the possibility of signing him on loan, according to journalist Alfredo Pedullà.

Garnacho, 22, had a lengthy battle in the transfer market last summer before rejecting a move to Napoli from Manchester United, opting instead for a transfer to Chelsea for €46.2 million.

However, his time at Chelsea has not seen the expected stability, as he scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, starting only 22 matches, with no guarantee of regular playing time in the new season.

According to the same source, Roma is exploring the option of signing the player on loan with a purchase option, benefiting from their qualification for the Champions League, while the player's stance on leaving remains uncertain.

Roma continues its search for an attacking winger to strengthen its squad, with Greenwood from Marseille being the primary target, despite the difficulty of the deal due to high financial demands of €50 million, prompting the Italian club to consider alternatives like Garnacho.
