Mourinho's Arrival Puts Future of Real Madrid Talents Under Scrutiny
Jose Mourinho is set to begin his tenure at Real Madrid, with an important file concerning the future of several academy players who had the opportunity to feature with the first team during the previous coach Álvaro Arbeloa's time.
Arbeloa had given chances to several young talents, most notably Thiago Pietarch, Manuel Ángel, and Jorge Cistero.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Mourinho's arrival puts the future of these players under scrutiny, especially since the Portuguese coach is accustomed to working with big names, while academy players need to continue developing and getting playing time with the first team.
Pietarch is considered the standout among these players, having participated in 16 matches with the first team last season and currently competing in the UEFA Under-19 Championship with the Spanish national team.
The newspaper added that the midfielder's future will be determined after the tournament, whether he continues with the first team or returns to Castilla.
Although Pietarch's playing style fits Real Madrid's needs, the club's pursuit of a new player in his position may reduce his chances of participation.
The report emphasized that the pre-season will be crucial, as Mourinho will give opportunities to several academy players, and this could be Pietarch's chance to prove his worth to remain with the team.
