Real Madrid Denies Interest in Enzo Fernandez
Real Madrid has issued an official statement categorically denying all reports linking the club with a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez during the current summer transfer window.
The club stated: "In light of the reports and statements that have emerged in recent days regarding Real Madrid's alleged interest in player Enzo Fernandez, the club would like to confirm that it has not taken any steps, either directly or indirectly, to sign the aforementioned player, nor does it intend to complete any such deal."
Real Madrid emphasized its full respect for Enzo Fernandez, describing him as a great player with a distinguished career and known technical quality, and expressed appreciation for Chelsea, affirming the strong institutional relationship between the two clubs.
The club clarified that this mutual respect, along with the principles of integrity and institutional commitment it upholds, prompted it to issue this statement to deny what it termed "baseless speculation that does not reflect reality."
Real Madrid concluded its statement: "Real Madrid regrets that despite the clarity of the facts and the absence of any action from the club, information continues to be published that does not align with reality, only contributing to confusion among fans and causing unnecessary harm to the entities and individuals involved."
This statement comes hours after comments from Javier Pastore, the player's agent, who confirmed they are considering options to leave Chelsea and that the royal club had inquired about the player recently in anticipation of a potential signing.
