Perisic Makes History with Croatia National Team

Ivan Perisic has etched his name into Croatian football history by becoming the all-time top scorer for the national team in World Cup competitions during the Round of 32 match against Portugal.

Perisic scored Croatia's first goal in the 53rd minute, giving his team the lead and raising his tally to 7 goals in World Cup history, surpassing the previous record held by Davor Šuker.

According to "Squawka", Perisic is now the highest goal scorer for Croatia in World Cup history, taking sole possession of the top spot in the national team's historical list for the tournament.

Portugal later equalized when Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, making the score 1-1 at that point.
