Jawhar Nabil Backs Egypt Ahead of Australia Clash in World Cup

Jawhar Nabil, the Minister of Youth and Sports, has expressed his support for the Egyptian national team ahead of their match against Australia in the 2026 World Cup. Egypt will face Australia today, Friday, at 9 PM Cairo and Mecca time, in the Round of 32 of the tournament. Nabil posted on his official Facebook account: "We believe in you, and glory awaits you. I trust our players and coaching staff led by Captain Hossam Hassan, and I fully understand the responsibility they carry representing Egypt on this global stage." He added, "The match against Australia represents a new challenge for our team, but we have great confidence in their ability to deliver a performance worthy of Egypt's name and to bring joy to millions of Egyptians who stand behind them with support and trust." He concluded, "Best of luck to our national team. Fight with your usual spirit, and know that all of Egypt is behind you."
