Police Club Signs Meitham Jabbar

Police Club has officially signed defender Meitham Jabbar, coming from their traditional rivals Al-Zawraa, to join the Green Lantern squad for the 2026-2027 Iraqi Premier League season.

The transfer of Meitham Jabbar from Al-Zawraa to Police is one of the moves that intensifies the competition between the two major clubs. The 25-year-old defender will wear the Police jersey after spending years with the Al-Nawras, in a step that confirms the club's management's desire to strengthen the backline with experienced local players.

Meitham Jabbar has a diverse football career in the Iraqi league. He previously represented Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya before moving to Al-Zawraa and has had the honor of wearing the Iraqi national team jersey in previous periods.
