Trezeguet's Move to Saudi League in Jeopardy
Mauro Hassan Trezeguet's transfer to Al-Riyadh is facing a major crisis following the Saudi Professional League's decision to prevent the club from making new signings due to non-compliance with financial regulations.
The Saudi Professional League announced today that four out of the 18 clubs participating in the league currently lack the eligibility to register new signings during the summer transfer window, as they have not met the requirements of the approved financial regulations.
According to sources cited by Asharq Al-Awsat, both Al-Shabab and Al-Riyadh are among the four clubs that have not yet received the green light to finalize new contracts, having failed to fulfill all the requirements outlined in the financial regulations.
Reports had previously confirmed that Al-Riyadh had reached a final agreement to sign Mauro Hassan Trezeguet during the summer transfer window.
