Tottenham Targets Rafael Leão for Summer Reinforcements
Portuguese winger Rafael Leão of AC Milan has emerged as a candidate to strengthen Tottenham's attack during the summer transfer window, following informal talks between the English club and Milan to explore the possibility of signing the player.
The Independent reports that manager Roberto De Zerbi is keen on adding a new left winger to Tottenham's ranks, with a shortlist featuring three names, led by Bournemouth's Illia Zabarnyi, alongside Leão and Manchester City's Savinho.
The report adds that Tottenham considers Zabarnyi the top choice for this position, with the Bournemouth player's value estimated at around €93 million, noting that the club has already held informal discussions with Milan regarding Leão.
Tottenham continues its strong activity in the transfer market, having come close to signing Sandro Tonali in a club-record deal worth €116 million including bonuses, along with the acquisition of Matheus Fernandes.
The report indicates that Tottenham's total spending during the summer transfer window could approach €400 million if they complete the signing of a new left winger.
