Moroccan international Ismail Sabiri expressed his immense happiness at joining Bayern Munich, stating that wearing the jersey of the Bavarian giant fulfills a childhood dream, following the club's official announcement of his transfer from PSV Eindhoven.

Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday that Sabiri has signed a contract until June 2031, with the player set to join the team after completing his participation with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup, and he will wear the number 34 shirt.

In his first comments after signing the contract, Sabiri said: "Bayern Munich competes every year for the biggest titles, like the Champions League, and I want to win as many trophies as possible here. The team's style of play suits me, and I will work hard every day to help the team."

The Moroccan international also revealed that the team's coach, Vincent Kompany, played a significant role in his decision to move to the Bavarian club, noting that the sporting project presented by Bayern was among the factors that encouraged him to take this step.

Bayern Munich highlighted Sabiri's football journey in their statement, noting that he was born in the Spanish city of Terrassa and began his career at the Anderlecht academy before moving to Genk and then joining PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2020.

During his time with the Dutch club, Sabiri had an impressive career, scoring 42 goals and providing 29 assists, contributing to the team's three Dutch league titles, three Dutch Super Cup titles, and two KNVB Cup titles, along with winning the Best Player award in the Netherlands last season.

On the international stage, Sabiri has represented the Moroccan national team since 2023, playing 34 matches and scoring 12 goals. He was one of the standout stars for the "Atlas Lions" in the 2026 World Cup, scoring against Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, before netting the decisive penalty in the match against the Netherlands in the Round of 32, helping Morocco continue its journey in the tournament.
