Pape Gueye Suspends Senegal National Team Participation in Protest Against Coaching Staff

In his message, Gueye stated: "I will return later to discuss the elimination, but I announce today that as long as this coaching staff is present, I will cease to represent the national team."

His comments came just hours after Senegal's dramatic elimination against Belgium in the Round of 32, a match that saw a thrilling Belgian comeback ending in a 3-2 result after extra time, seemingly deepening the frustration within the Senegalese camp.
