Balogun Shines for USA in World Cup
Folarin Balogun continues to impress in the United States national team jersey, scoring the first goal against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 45th minute during the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, where the American team currently leads 2-0.
According to "Squawka," Balogun has become only the third player in U.S. national team history to score three or more goals in a World Cup finals.
The American forward has now netted three goals in the tournament, joining a select group that includes Bert Patenaude, who scored four goals in 1930, and Landon Donovan, who netted three in the 2010 World Cup.
This statistic underscores Balogun's remarkable performance in the current World Cup edition, as he has played a key role in the U.S. team's journey so far.
