Rodri Garcia: Belief is Key to Belgium's Strength
Rodri Garcia, the head coach of the Belgium national team, stated that his players' belief in their ability to come back was the key to their thrilling 3-2 victory over Senegal, securing their place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Garcia said, "In football, anything is possible as long as you believe in it," emphasizing that the team's strength does not rely solely on the starting lineup.
He added, "The strength of this team also lies in the players coming off the bench, as results cannot be achieved by relying on just eleven players."
Garcia also discussed the tactical adjustments he made during the match, explaining, "We made the necessary changes starting from the second half of the first half, as we were sending key passes from long distances unnecessarily. We addressed this issue and improved our performance, even though we conceded the second goal."
The Belgian national team successfully turned their deficit into a 3-2 victory over Senegal, securing their spot in the Round of 16 of the tournament.
