Newcastle Close to Securing Two Bundesliga Signings
Newcastle United has begun efforts to compensate for the departure of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, while also preparing for the potential exit of Sandro Tonali, having prioritized Bazoumana Toure and Johan Manzambi in the summer transfer market.
According to "TEAMtalk," Newcastle has reached an agreement worth £40 million to sign Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, who shone in his first full season in the Bundesliga, scoring five goals and providing 12 assists.
The club officials believe Toure is the right replacement for Gordon, thanks to his ability to play on the wings, his speed, and attacking potential.
In midfield, the same source indicated that Freiburg's Johan Manzambi has become the primary target to replace Tonali, with progress being made in negotiations to sign the Swiss player.
These moves come as Tonali's transfer to Tottenham Hotspur approaches, with a deal valued at £100 million, while Newcastle aims to secure his replacement before finalizing his exit.
The report confirmed that negotiations for both signings are progressing positively, with optimism within Newcastle about completing the deals for the duo before the new season kicks off.
