Malin Turns Down Saudi League Offer
Italian media reports reveal that a club from Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, attempted to sign Dutch forward Donyell Malin from Roma during the current transfer window.
The "Corriere dello Sport" reported that an intermediary contacted the 27-year-old player, presenting him with a substantial financial offer to join the Saudi Pro League.
Despite the attractive offer, Malin quickly decided to decline, preferring to remain with Roma to continue his journey in European football.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini is eagerly awaiting the player's return to training at the club's Trigoria facility, especially with the forward's desire to deliver an even better performance.
Malin has strong motivations to stay in the Italian capital, following a successful stint since joining Roma on loan from Aston Villa in January 2026.
The Dutch striker has made a significant impact, playing 20 matches and scoring 15 goals, making him one of the standout winter signings in Serie A history.
Malin's goals have helped propel Roma to third place and secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League, while he has also been a strong contender for the Serie A top scorer title.
