Officially: Dates for Spanish League Clasico and Madrid Derby
The Spanish League Association revealed today, Tuesday, the schedule for the 2026-2027 season, which officially kicks off on August 14th, with great anticipation for the start of the competition that features many eagerly awaited matches from the early rounds.
The first capital derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be on September 20, as part of the seventh round at the Riyadh Metropolitano Stadium, while the return match will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 24 as part of the thirtieth round.
As for the first Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona, it will take place on October 25 at the Camp Nou, within the tenth round, while the Santiago Bernabeu will host the return match on May 9, for the thirty-fifth round.
The season's competitions are scheduled to end on May 30, 2027, after a season expected to witness a strong battle for the Spanish League title and the qualifying spots for European competitions.
Barcelona had won the Spanish League title last season after a strong competition with Real Madrid.
