Tottenham Finalizes Deal for Matheus Fernandes
Tottenham Hotspur has secured the signing of Portuguese midfielder Matheus Fernandes from West Ham United during the current summer transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.
According to the report, Tottenham made the highest offer to acquire the services of the 21-year-old player, valued at around 85 million pounds as a guaranteed amount, which led Fernandez to choose to join the "Spurs".
Ornstein pointed out that Manchester United was among the clubs interested in signing the player, but they were not prepared to match the financial figures offered by Tottenham, allowing the London club to secure the deal in their favor.
Matheus Fernandes is considered one of the most promising midfielders in the English Premier League, having delivered impressive performances with West Ham, which has made him a target for several European clubs during the current transfer window.
