Al-Ahly Responds to All Inquiries from the Licensing Committee Chairman
Dr. Saad Shalaby, the Executive Director of Al Ahly Club, announced that the club has sent a letter to the Egyptian Football Association in response to all inquiries from the Chairman of the Licensing Committee. This is part of the procedures for obtaining the local club license for the 2026-2027 sports season.
Dr. Saad Shalaby, the Executive Director, stated in an official announcement published by Al Ahly Club on its official accounts: "The club has sent a letter to the Egyptian Football Association to respond to all inquiries from the Chairman of the Licensing Committee, with the aim of obtaining the local club license for the 2026/2027 sports season, and emphasized several points in the letter."
He added, "Al Ahly Club's strategy is based on sustainable institutional sports investment, in line with the directives of the Egyptian state, which are reflected in the provisions of the Sports Law No. 171 of 2025, amending Law No. 71 of 2017."
Saad Shalaby emphasized the necessity of "ensuring that the club establishes several subsidiary companies to serve the actual economic scope of the club's activities."
He continued: "Presenting a unified and comprehensive financial picture that reflects the true financial position and actual business volume of the club and its companies as a single economic entity to the general assembly members and regulatory bodies."
He continued: "The club revealed in its response, in a manner that enhances integrity and transparency, all financial investments in its subsidiary companies, according to the club's approved financial statements for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2025. These include Al Ahly Football Company, Al Ahly Sports Facilities Company, Al Ahly Media Production Company, and Al Ahly Services Company."
He continued: "The club has provided evidence confirming that it has settled all existing tax obligations, as demonstrated by documents from the relevant authorities. These include property taxes, value-added taxes, withholding taxes, etc."
He pointed out: "The club provided a full explanation and responded to all inquiries from the licensing committee in accordance with Egyptian national accounting standards."
He concluded: "What has been previously mentioned comes within the framework of Al Ahly Club's commitment to fully adhere to and respect national laws and international and continental federation regulations, and to enhance the principles of integrity and transparency, as well as to protect and maintain the financial rights and obligations of all national Egyptian institutions and individuals in a fair and transparent manner that befits the esteemed status of the Egyptian state."
