Hossam Hassan to National Team Players: Qualifying for the Round of 32 is Not an Achievement... The Australia Match is the Most Important
Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, was keen to hold motivational sessions with his players before facing Australia in the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian national team is preparing to play a match against the Australian national team in the round of 32 of the World Cup next Friday at 9:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
Hossam Hassan told the players: "I don't see Egypt's qualification to the round of 32 as an achievement. The upcoming match against Australia is the most important, and the Egyptian team, with the names it includes, deserves a higher standing."
He added: "What we have achieved so far is good, but there are bigger and more beautiful goals that you must achieve to bring joy to the Egyptian people, who trust you, follow you, and celebrate your victories."
The Egyptian national team qualified for the round of 32 as the runner-up of Group G with 5 points, trailing Belgium only on goal difference.
