Real Madrid Moves to Finalize Bastoni Deal
Real Madrid has begun steps to sign Italian Alessandro Bastoni, the Inter Milan defender, as part of a plan to strengthen the backline during the summer transfer window, in response to Portuguese coach José Mourinho's vision to bolster the team's defense before the start of the new season.
The Spanish newspaper "AS" confirmed that Real Madrid's management continues to work on completing their summer deals. However, finalizing more signings remains contingent on the departure of some players, either to achieve financial balance or to free up spots on the first team's roster.
The newspaper added that the contracts the club signed with Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, and Denzel Dumfries did not conclude the plan to strengthen the defense, as Real Madrid continues its efforts to acquire a new central defender, with Bastoni being at the top of the list of candidates.
