Atletico Madrid Competes with Milan for Goretzka and Hjulmand
Atletico Madrid has entered the competition with AC Milan to strengthen their midfield, having shown interest in signing Leon Goretzka and Morten Hjulmand during the summer transfer window.
The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that Goretzka, a Bayern Munich player, was offered to Atletico Madrid in a free transfer deal, becoming one of the options available to the Spanish club.
The newspaper added that Goretzka had previously agreed to move to Milan, according to what was published by "La Gazzetta dello Sport," but the negotiations have not seen any developments recently.
At the same time, Atletico Madrid has set its sights on Morten Hjulmand, the Sporting Lisbon player, as one of its targets, despite his name also being linked with a move to Milan.
Hjulmand has attracted the attention of the Rossoneri, having previously worked under coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.
The report indicated that Milan is currently focusing on signing a new defender, with plans to later strengthen the midfield during the summer transfer window.
