Italian club Inter Milan announced the departure of four names from the team: Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer, Italian defender Francesco Acerbi, full-back Matteo Darmian, and Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij, as their contracts officially end at the end of June.

The Italian club published a statement on its official platforms, in which it sent a message of thanks to the three players, saying: "Thank you for everything," in appreciation of what they have contributed while wearing the Nerazzurri jersey over the past years.

Sommer joined Inter in the summer of 2023 and successfully established himself as the team's main goalkeeper, playing 139 matches across various competitions, including 100 matches in the Italian league. He contributed to winning two Italian league titles, an Italian Cup, and an Italian Super Cup, and reached the UEFA Champions League final with the team in the 2024-2025 season.

As for Acerbi, who joined Inter in 2022, he participated in 148 matches across various competitions, including 101 matches in the Italian Serie A. He won two Serie A titles with the team, two Coppa Italia titles, and two Italian Super Cup titles, in addition to reaching the UEFA Champions League final twice.

Darmian has concluded his career with Inter after six seasons spent within the club's walls, during which he played 218 matches across all competitions, including 150 in Serie A. He won three Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia titles, and three Italian Super Cup titles, in addition to reaching the UEFA Champions League final twice.

On the other hand, De Vrij is close to moving to Greek club Panathinaikos on a free transfer.
