Hossam Hassan Considers Starting Marmoush Against Australia
The newspaper "Youm7" reported that Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, is considering starting Omar Marmoush in the upcoming match against the Australian national team in the World Cup.
The Egyptian national team faces its Australian counterpart in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, with the match kicking off at 9:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
The newspaper clarified that Marmoush participated in the second half of the Egypt-Iran match in the group stage, while Mahmoud Trezeguet replaced him in the starting lineup for the first time since the Pharaohs began their journey in the World Cup.
The newspaper also stated that the duo Hamdi Fathi and Hossam Abdel-Majid are ready to participate in the match, while Hossam Hassan has decided to exclude Ahmed Fattouh and Mohamed Abdel-Monem from his plans against Australia due to lack of readiness.
