Neom Club has entered into serious negotiations with Al Ahly of Egypt to sign midfielder Emam Ashour during the current summer transfer window, as part of its efforts to strengthen its squad with prominent stars.

The Foot Africa website revealed that the management of Neom has already opened official communication channels with Al Ahly club to explore the possibility of completing the deal, but the negotiations have not yet reached a final agreement.

NEOM made an initial offer valued at $6 million, distributed between $4 million as a fixed amount and $2 million as performance-related incentives tied to achieving targets.

Al-Ahly's management rejected the offer, stating that the financial compensation does not match the player's technical value and his influential role within the team recently.

The management of the Egyptian club set a price of $10 million for agreeing to the departure of Imam Ashour, including $8 million as a base value, plus $2 million as incentives.

Imam Ashour is considered one of Al Ahly's standout players since joining the team, having played over 80 matches, during which he scored around 30 goals and assisted more than 15 goals.

The player also contributed to the team's victory in several local and continental championships, becoming one of the key players in the team's lineup.

Ashour's market value increased after his impressive performance with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup, making him a target for several clubs, including those in the Saudi Roshn League.
