The Truth About Akram Tawfik Signing for Al Ahly
The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed the truth about Akram Tawfik, the player from Al-Shamal Qatar, recently signing with Al-Ahly of Egypt.
Al-Ghandour denied on the "Stad Al-Mahwar" program the news that Akram Tawfik had signed with Al-Ahly and received an advance payment.
He added that no one from Al Ahly Club has contacted the player since the last conversation with Essam Siraj a month ago, and there has been no discussion with him about signing so far.
He added that the player received a call from the officials of Pyramids Club a few days ago, offering him a three-season contract with the condition that Akram receives the same salary he gets in Al-Shamal, Qatar, for three seasons.
Akram Tawfik has not yet expressed a desire to accept or reject the Pyramids offer.
He concluded: "Pyramids' offer for Akram Tawfik is not the last; the player received an official offer from Qatar Club with the same contract value as with Al-Shamal Club, and the salary may increase."
