Pablo Paz, the father and agent of Argentine Nico Paz, has resolved his son's future by confirming his continuation with the Italian club Como for the next season. This decision comes after the club agreed with Real Madrid that continuing his career in the Italian league and participating in the UEFA Champions League represents the best option for his development.

Pablo Paz said: 'It was a difficult decision because Real Madrid was eager to bring Nico back, but they also saw that spending an additional season in Italy, with the opportunity to participate in the Champions League, would be best for his development. If the buy-back clause is activated, he can return to Madrid in the future.'

He added: 'There are still some details that need to be resolved, such as the value of the deal, but Nico is very happy in Como because he feels comfortable and is highly appreciated within the club.'

The Argentine player's father continued: 'I believe this is the best decision for him. He has been warmly welcomed since his arrival in Italy, and everyone treats him with great affection. The human aspect is also very important, and this makes him feel reassured.'

Nico Paz emerged as one of the standout surprises of the Italian league last season, contributing to Como's historic qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The player joined the Italian club in 2024, coming from Real Madrid, which retained a buy-back clause, in addition to 50% of his economic rights.
