Amid Juventus' Interest in Signing Martinez, Aston Villa Eases Financial Demands
Juventus continues its negotiations to sign Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez during the summer transfer window, as the Italian club seeks to strengthen its goalkeeping position before the start of the 2026/2027 season.
The "Football Italia" website explained that Juventus has already reached an agreement with Martinez regarding personal terms, which includes a three-season contract with an annual salary of around 5 million euros.
The report added that the main obstacle remains the financial compensation, as Aston Villa is asking for around 10 million euros to sell the goalkeeper, while Juventus considers this amount high given that the player will turn 34 next September.
The same source indicated that Juventus has raised its offer to 5 million euros, while Aston Villa has shown a willingness to slightly lower its financial demands, which could bring the two parties closer to reaching a final agreement in the coming days.
