Alireza Beiranvand, the goalkeeper of the Iranian national team, stated that their match against the Egyptian national team is the most important in the history of Iranian football.

The Iran national team will face their counterpart, the Egypt national team, tomorrow morning, Saturday, in the third and final round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

Beiranvand said during the press conference preceding the match that his full focus is on this game, emphasizing that he hopes to lead the Iranian team to a historic achievement and qualify for the next round. He added, "I put in a lot of effort in the previous match, but facing Egypt is completely different; it is the most important in the history of Iranian football."

The veteran goalkeeper spoke about his experience in the tournament, noting that he has significant experience due to his third participation in the World Cup, saying: "I am not an inexperienced player, and I always try to be at my best to help the team, especially in major matches."

Regarding the Egyptian national team, Beiranvand praised its strength and balance, emphasizing that it does not rely solely on star player Mohamed Salah, but possesses a complete group of players capable of making a difference.

He added, "The Egyptian national team is strong and organized, with each player possessing great abilities.
