Fai Responds Angrily to Schweinsteiger: Sad Statements Affect African Football

The coach of the Ivory Coast national team, Emerse Faé, expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the statements made by former German star Bastian Schweinsteiger regarding African football, considering them "saddening" and disappointing from a player he held in high regard.

Fai said in his statements: "I think it's sad. Schweinsteiger was an incredibly great player. I always loved him as a midfielder and the way he understood football. When I heard his comments, I felt disappointed in the man. It's strange for him to speak that way."

The Ivory Coast coach added, addressing the proposed idea about African football: "We can describe that as racism, if we are to call things by their names. I don't agree with it, but I have no choice but to deal with reality as it is."

Fai concluded his remarks by expressing his desire to respond on the field: "All I can do is demonstrate on the field that African teams are not only physically strong but also possess technical quality and tactical discipline. I can only hope that this was a slip of the tongue, not a reflection of what is on his mind. And if that is what he believes, he is free to do so."
