Reason for Allegri's Transfer Stumble to Napoli

Thursday 25-06-2026
The transfer of Italian coach Massimiliano Allegri to Napoli is still postponed after a whole month of negotiations with Milan regarding the termination compensation, which has complicated the situation and delayed the official announcement of the agreement.

The "Football Italia" website, citing "Tutto Mercato Web," indicated that negotiations are currently underway to reach a financial settlement between Allegri and Milan, which includes the coach and his technical staff. This solution would allow him to sign a three-season contract with Napoli.

The report clarified that the option of Allegri's resignation is still on the table, but this scenario could open the door to a legal dispute before sports judicial authorities for compensation claims, which neither of the clubs desires.

Napoli hopes to resolve the issue quickly, as club president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want the crisis to continue for much longer, especially with the team's need to finalize the coaching staff situation before preparations for the new season begin.

Currently, Allegri is spending his vacation in Sardinia while awaiting a final agreement with Milan that would pave his way to Napoli.

On the other hand, some members of his coaching staff have started to determine their next destinations. Claudio Felipe ended his association with Milan and moved to work with Fiorentina, while Bernardo Corradi took on the task of coaching Sampdoria.

Reaching an agreement between Allegri and Milan remains the decisive factor for the coach's move to Napoli in the coming days.
