Mourinho Gives Real Madrid Duo a Final Chance to Prove Their Worth

Spanish press reports revealed that Portuguese coach José Mourinho has decided to give the young duo Tiago Bittar and Franco Mastantonio a final chance to prove their worth during the pre-season preparation, before making a final decision regarding their future with the team.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Real Madrid will begin its preparations for the new season on July 13 with medical examinations for the players. The players participating in the World Cup will join gradually, depending on when their national teams are eliminated from the tournament.

Mourinho believes that young players who do not have enough opportunities to participate with the first team are better off going out on loan in order to continue developing and gaining experience. However, he considers the cases of Pietarch and Mastantonio to be different from other young talents.

The Portuguese coach expressed his admiration for the performances delivered by Thiago Beitarach during the final stages of last season, as he established himself among the team's options and participated in several important matches. Meanwhile, Mourinho remains convinced of the great potential possessed by the Argentine Franco Mastantonio, despite his failure to deliver the expected level during his first season in Spain.

Mastantuno joined Real Madrid from River Plate in a massive deal worth 63.2 million euros, but he was unable to replicate the brilliance he showed in the Argentine league. He participated in 35 matches last season and started in only 17 of them.

The report confirmed that Mourinho will hold direct sessions with the players during the summer preparations before making a final decision in coordination with the club's management, whether to keep them in the first team or allow them to leave on loan to gain more experience and participate regularly.
