Death of Young French Player Kenzo Kees After Tragic Drowning Incident

French media announced the death of young player Kenzo Kees, aged 21, days after he was involved in a tragic drowning accident in the Rhône River near the city of Lyon, during a severe heatwave that France experienced in recent days.

The incident occurred when Case was with three friends in an area not designated for swimming at the "Visinia" Falls, where they were suddenly swept away by strong currents, leading to his disappearance underwater, while the others managed to survive or receive timely medical assistance.

Despite the intervention of rapid rescue teams and his transfer to the hospital in critical condition, it was later announced that he had entered a state of brain death, before his death was confirmed two days later, amid widespread sorrow in the French football community.

Kais is one of the players who progressed through the youth ranks at major French clubs, having previously trained at Olympique Lyonnais and Saint-Étienne, before later moving to En Avant Guingamp, where he played with the reserve team.
