Brown Absent from Germany Against Ecuador

The German national team received a setback before their final group stage match in the 2026 World Cup against Ecuador, as left-back Nathaniel Brown missed the team's last training session.

The player only engaged in a light running program under the supervision of fitness coach Kronoslav Banovcic due to experiencing minor pain in the adductor muscle.

According to German reports, Brown's participation against Ecuador seems unlikely, especially since the German team has already secured the top spot in Group E before the final round.

The young defender was one of Germany's standout stars in the previous two matches, after delivering strong performances against Curaçao and Ivory Coast.

On the other hand, left-back David Raum is preparing to get the chance to start. Raum was the main competitor to Brown for the left-back position before the tournament began and seems to be the closest option to replace him in the match against Ecuador.

Germany is set to face Ecuador on Thursday in the third round of Group E. The match will not affect Germany's top position, but it may see several changes in the starting lineup by coach Julian Nagelsmann in preparation for the knockout stages.
