Egypt Submits Reports on Hossam Abdel Majeed to World Cup Committees to Decide His Return in Round of 32
The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed that the medical team of the Egyptian national team is reviewing the medical reports of Hossam Abdel-Majid with the 2026 World Cup committees to obtain the green light for his participation in the round of 32 after his health condition has stabilized.
Al-Ghandour confirmed during his program "Stad Al-Mehwar": "The player is undergoing close medical monitoring according to the concussion and head impact protocol approved by the International Football Federation."
He added: "There is a sense of optimism regarding his readiness for the upcoming phase, provided he passes all medical examinations and obtains the final approval from the relevant committees."
The Egyptian national team is close to qualifying for the round of 32 in the 2026 World Cup, as the Pharaohs lead Group G with 4 points after two rounds of the group stage.
The Egyptian national team will meet the Iranian national team next Saturday in the third round of the group stage of the World Cup.
