Felix: We Achieved a Convincing Victory, and I Feel Comfortable in This Position

Portuguese national team player João Felix spoke to Sport TV after the big win over Uzbekistan with a score of 5-0 in the second round of the 2026 World Cup, stating that the team performance and tactical details were the key to victory.

Felix said in his interview: "We were good and adjusted some tactical points. We had more players between the lines, and we could enter from the flanks or the depth, creating opportunities both ways, and that was the key to the match."

He added about his position on the field: "It's the position where I feel more comfortable, where I can assist better. I'm not stuck to the line; I play between the lines, receive the ball, turn, create opportunities, and pass. I played in the position the coach asked, like Bruno and I did. We need to continue with the same approach and execute the plan."

Felix also talked about the harmony with the national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo, saying: "We play together throughout the season (at Al Nassr) and train on each other's movements, so the harmony between us has become easy, and with players of such quality, the passes and connections between us become much easier."

He concluded his statements by saying: "The victory was important and convincing, giving us great confidence. Everyone played a very good match, and the spirit was excellent. We also want to win against Colombia, and we know it's a tough match, but we won't play for a draw, but for victory and to qualify at the top."
