Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egyptian national team, made sure to send a message of appreciation to the Egyptian fans who accompanied the "Pharaohs" during their journey in the 2026 World Cup, emphasizing that their presence and support were a significant motivation for the players in the past matches against Belgium and New Zealand.

Ibrahim Hassan, in statements published by the official account of the Egyptian Football Association, said that the Egyptian fans deserved praise for the great efforts they made to support the national team in the tournament.

He clarified: "I extend my sincere thanks to the Egyptian fans who supported the team in the matches against Belgium and New Zealand," adding: "The fans endured the hardship of traveling and moving between cities to support the team, and their presence had a significant positive impact on the players."

In a related context, the Egyptian national team delegation arrived in Spokane, USA, early Tuesday morning Cairo time, following their match against New Zealand in the second round of Group G competitions.

The Egyptian national team began its journey by facing Belgium in Seattle, USA, before playing its second match against New Zealand at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada.

The delegation returned to its residence in Spokane on a private plane provided by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), with the flight taking only about 45 minutes.

The "Pharaohs" secured an important 3-1 victory over New Zealand, taking the lead in Group G with four points, ahead of Iran and Belgium, who each have two points, while New Zealand is at the bottom of the standings with one point.

The Egyptian national team is preparing for a decisive match against Iran early next Saturday, June 27, at "Lumen Field" in Seattle, USA, as part of the third and final round of the group stage, in a match that could determine the ticket to the next round.
