Informed sources revealed to the Saudi sports newspaper that the Portuguese Sergio Conceição, the former coach of Al-Ittihad Club, has entered into a financial dispute with the club's management after demanding the full value of his remaining two-year contract.

The sources clarified that the coach's contract includes a termination clause equivalent to approximately four months' salary if the contract is terminated during the first season, in addition to other clauses related to specific technical objectives.

The contract also stipulates the club's right to terminate the agreement without additional financial obligations if the team does not achieve advanced positions in subsequent seasons, which the management bases its stance on.

On the other hand, Conceição and his Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes insist on the right to receive the full dues for the remaining period of the contract, based on a different interpretation of the agreement's terms.

The Al-Ittihad club officially announced the termination of the contractual relationship with the Portuguese coach after a comprehensive evaluation of the team's performance during the past period, in line with the goals of the upcoming phase.

Conceição played 41 matches with Al-Ittihad, achieving 21 victories, 7 draws, and 13 defeats, before leaving the team after a season that saw a decline in results both domestically and continentally.
