Real Madrid Settles on Signing Enzo Fernandez

Spanish press reports have revealed that Real Madrid has decided on its main priority to strengthen the midfield during the summer transfer window, settling on signing Argentine international Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," the management of the Royal Club decided to move towards Fernandez in recent hours after several other options on the transfer table fell through. Consequently, the Chelsea star has become the primary target to strengthen the midfield based on the wishes of Portuguese coach José Mourinho.

The sources confirmed that Mourinho placed Enzo Fernandez at the top of his list of demands from the start, considering him the ideal midfielder for his new project due to his ability to link defense and attack, his leadership qualities, as well as his great technical skills in playmaking and controlling the pace of matches.

Reports indicated that Real Madrid has already begun preparing steps to communicate with Chelsea in the coming days, taking advantage of the player's desire to wear the royal club's jersey. Fernandez informed Real Madrid officials of his readiness to do everything possible to complete the deal.

Nevertheless, the task will not be easy, as the player is tied to a long-term contract with Chelsea that extends until the summer of 2032. Additionally, the English club paid over 120 million euros to sign him, which means that any potential negotiations would require a substantial financial offer that could exceed the 100 million euro mark.
